Sunday, 2 days prior to boating.

Launch your boat at the Apex RiverBeach Caravan Park and anchor it on the sandbar, in front of the caravan park (next to boat ramp)
Drive to pre-organised secure parking in Mannum.
2:30pm = Chartered bus takes us back to Mildura, arriving approx 7pm.

Security is watching the boats until morning.

Monday to Sunday, boating the river! You can arrive in Mannum when you like during the final day, and one of our support team will ferry you to the secure parking.

If your boat were to have an issue we have a sweep boat and vehicular ground support. Basically, we'll do our best to help you finish the rally.

If we can't get your boat moving again, we'll get you to your car and trailer.

Food & Refreshments

Once we leave Wentworth on Day 1, you'll only need to carry enough food for 2 1/2 days, until Renmark. Renmark has a large IGA within walking distance of the main jetty, and from Renmark onwards there are plenty of small places to re-stock food and alcohol, or cafes and pubs to eat at.

Following Renmark it is possible to stop for lunch and dinner most days, with many pubs, cafes, bakeries, etc.

Iconic pubs:

The Woolshed Brewery, Murtho.
Overland Corner Hotel.

Supermarkets: Renmark, Loxton, Waikerie, Morgan and Mannum.

Being small riverside communities, all are on or near the riverfront.

Fuel

Distances between fuel stops:

189km: The longest stretch without fuel (or other services) is the 189km between Wentworth (NSW) and Customs House Houseboats (near SA Border). For those who cannot carry enough fuel, along the way we'll have a vehicle carrying unleaded fuel. So you'll only need a 130km range.

68km: Renmark (700m walk), 68km from Customs House.

78km or 118km: 78km Loxton (800m walk) or 118km Moorook (⛽ 100m). Or 40km after Renmark get fuel at Berri (400m) then it's 80km to Moorook.

69km or 131: From Moorook; 69km to Waikerie (450m) or 131km to the riverside ⛽ @ Morgan Marina.

74km: Swan Reach General Store (⛽ 400m walk), 74km from Morgan.

97km: Mannum, 97km from Swan Reach.

If you have a range of 171km, you'll never need to walk more than 100m.

For the times you have to carry your fuel cans, a hand trolley or beach trolley/wagon is recommended. The folding versions take up minimal space.
