A Voyage Through Australia’s Hidden Wilderness
Any boat you like, on an unforgettable 727-kilometre journey along the Murray River over the course of seven days. Starting in Mildura, Victoria, and winding toward Mannum, South Australia, this rally offers a rare chance to explore part of Australia’s biggest river.
Leave the bitumen behind and discover a side of Australia few ever truly see. As your boat slips away from the town’s edge, the world transforms. The noise fades. The scenery shifts. You're no longer in suburbia — you're immersed in nature.
Expect breathtaking landscapes, welcoming riverside communities, and plenty of stops at pubs, cafes, and campsites/cabins along the way. It’s not just about reaching the destination—it’s about embracing the adventure, the camaraderie, and the magic of the river itself.
Travel with the main group, or choose your own pace and campsite/accommodation.
INCLUSIONS

Sweep boat and support vehicles following along, for mechanical support.

Secure gated parking in Mannum for cars and trailers.

Charter bus back to Mildura.

Security guard to watch the boats while we're away, and overnight.

We'll have a vehicle carrying fuel, for part way between Wentworth and SA Border (189km).

Event 'Guide Book' of the full route including campsites/accommodation, food and fuel stops, distances, etc.

A 'Preparation & Planning' info pack, sent in advance.

Organiser will be amongst the group, to answer many of the usual questions you may have.

PREPARE FOR THE RALLY
Boats, what you need to know
Half-cab, bass boat, ski boat, open-cab, pontoon boat, jet-ski, tinny... whatever (except no Wake boats). As long as you're not too slow (min 30km/h) and can make it to the zones each day.
Vehicle logistics, Fuel, Support
Secure parking in Mannum, charter bus back to Mildura.
Fuel stops mapped, as well as a vehicle with fuel available for the longest stretch.
Accommodation and Campsites
Camp the whole way, or book accommodations options where available, the choice is yours.
We've summarised the options for free camping, camping with facilities, and cabins/hotels etc.
Entry is per person, and entrants can register and pay independently of each other (days apart is fine). You only need to input your 'team name' so that I know who is in the same boat.
If paying only the $200 deposit, remainder is payable 1 month prior to event start.
Events will be run in Spring and Autumn each year.
Dates are advised approximately 5 months prior.
